● Teaching English to the foreign (Chinese, Jamaican, Korean and
Indian) students (Mid-level to adults)
● Teaching classes using eclectic curriculum across multiple levels as
assigned
● Developing lesson plans conforming to the syllabus
● Transforming classroom atmosphere conducive to learning by
providing required classroom facilities
● Updating and maintaining accurate record keeping for daily
attendance and student performance
● Completing all ESL paperwork within given deadlines
● Test, evaluate and counsel students with respect to their academic
performance and goals
● Participating in staff meetings, in-house workshops and ongoing
teacher training programs
● Learning and complying with institutional policies and procedures
● Being the primary contact point of the respective class for parents
and school authority
● Preparing feedback for the students of every assigned section as a
subject teacher
● Preparing classroom and course materials
● Assigning homework and exams
● Grading students’ assessments
● Creating individualized plans for students with special requirements
(e.g. learning disabilities)
● Researching new teaching methods for teaching English as a second
language
● Creating a supportive and positive classroom environment
● Maintaining records of student attendance and grades
● Resolving crises in classroom
● Informing parents about student progress
● Collaborating with educational staff to provide a positive learning
experience to students
